Sa Mesa - La Torre - Parete Est 

The crags of Sa Mesa, La Torre and Parete Est are 3 small sectors in the central part of the Canyon of San Nicolò, always on good rock. The sector La Torre is on the left side on the top of the crag. To reach the pitches, you must first go through the pitch of Malloreddus from which you come to a ledge where you can be safe for the other 3 routes, all slightly overhanging (pitches 1-4) . The sector Sa Mesa is just a few meters ahead of the previous sector, you find 6 good routes on easy-medium gray slab (pitches 5-10). Finally, the third sector, Parete Est, is on the opposite side of the canyon with other 4 pitches always on gray slab (pitches 11-14).

Coming from Iglesias, drive in the direction of Buggerru. Without getting into the village of Buggerru, continue on the coast road towards the village of St. Nicholas and the beach Portixeddu. At the low end of the beach find a detour to the right with signals of trekking to some mines. Continuing on the road passing near a huge sand dune partially covered by vegetation, a little further on you come to a bridge, do not cross it but continue on the dirt road to the right and park immediately next to a fence. From here, take the path that goes left of the fence and after about 150 meters take the road to the right that leads to the canyon in a few minutes. The first sector is Ficus Area. Pass it and go up on the canyon until you reach the crag on the left side with the characterized tower (la Torre). To reach the pitches of the Tower on the left side, you must first climb the pitch “Malloreddus”. The sector Sa Mesa is some meters besides la Torre while the Parete Est is just opposite, in the right side of the Canyon.
